Recession-proof Small Business

Small businesses are usually hit the hardest during a time of recession. People are less likely to spend and that means that less money is ending up in your pocket. However there are ways in which to entice people to spend more money on your products.

One great way to get people to spend is you offer freebies with select purchases. It is common knowledge that people love to get stuff for free. So you need to use this to your advantage. The first thing that this option will do is get people to your store. As you probably know, just getting people to your store is half the battle. By offering something free customers feel like they are getting a good deal and are more likely to buy ,which leads to increased sales.

You should also make your products look as great as possible. Think like larger department stores: where are their best offers? At the front of every aisle. You should arrange your best deals the same way. People pay attention to deals and discounts. If you have a small store and do not have a lot of space, consider putting your best deals in the window so that people can see what deals you are offering.

Think about what commercials are offering right now. So many stores are offering additional warranties or easy return policies. Think about why this is- mostly it is because we all hate to return something because it can be such a hassle. If you are offering a no fuss return policy then people are more likely to purchase knowing they can return it they are not satisfied. People are also more likely to buy something if there is a warranty with the product. Showing that you will stand by your product builds a sense of trust between you and customer meaning they are more likely to buy.
